Patrick designed, planned, built and project-managed a new kitchen and dining space for our
newly acquired Brighton house. We cannot speak highly enough of the experience, which was
a pleasure from beginning to end. The result is a triumphant success. The outstanding kitchen
Patrick created for us is a testimony to his talent on the one hand, and his genius for practical
solutions on the other, to his sympathetic dedication to our needs, as customers, and to the very
best of craftsmanship. We ended up with a kitchen and dining area that really work, created in
a difficult space and under difficult circumstances – for time was of the essence and our
choices were sometimes complicated. The more we use it and live in it, the more we love our
new kitchen. Starting from the choice of design for a sizeable but awkward space, through the
phases of integrating the plumbing, electrical work, window renovation, work surface and
decoration and right to the finishing touches, everything went remarkably smoothly, entirely to
plan and to the proposed costing. Patrick brought together an outstanding team to deliver. His
know-how in all aspects of building, in addition to his own expertise as a joiner, meant that he
could work closely with the various specialists, and oversee the whole process. Patrick took us
confidently us through each stage, discussing every choice with us patiently and helpfully and
dispensing first class advice based on experience. Any unexpected snags were instantly and
effectively seen off. Additional ideas, like the brilliant cupboard designed for our TV, were
skilfully incorporated. Patrick accommodated our quirks and needs to his own creative vision
and robust aesthetic. As kitchen planner, and as project manager we cannot praise him highly
enough. But his greatest strength is as a maker. Whatever he creates is both beautiful and solid,
a delight to use, and built to endure. His attentkon to detail is unsurpassed. Thus what started as
a revamp, in a difficult space, ended as a wonderful new multi-purpose room which looks
beautiful, works perfectly and ticks all the boxes.
